Liverpool apologize..... maybe when hell freezes over Rio

Rio Ferdinand is waiting for Liverpool to apologise over the Suarez T-Shirts. He said after Carragher gave a limp apology through gritted teeth earlier this week. Rio said:
“That’s eight years late, eight years late,” said Ferdinand on BT Sport. “Testament to Jamie Carragher for apologising, eight years after the incident.
“I was there on the pitch. At the end of the day, it’s bigger than Jamie Carragher, it’s the club.
“Liverpool let themselves down that day, wearing t-shirts in support of someone who’s been accused of a racist comment.
“Yet, eight years on and still the apology hasn’t come from Liverpool in that sense.”
All I can say is you will be waiting another 8 years before the grief merchants even think they did anything remotely wrong. As they said at the time in veiled racist accusation against Evra. "We only have his word that Luis said anything racists". Because black people don't tell the truth do they?

Hermit - I don't get why Evra would lie about being racially abused then lie about what was said. Why lessen the accusation when it's a lie? He could say anything at all.

The evidence for Evra lying is non-existent. You've only provided evidence of him changing his mind about how polite Suarez's racist statement was. The words remain the same, his understanding of them has changed. (And it's still a racist statement.)
Only someone with an ulterior motive would call that lying.

We got to the root of your disagreement a few posts before but it was good of you to put some meat on the bones.
So and so. His grandad was black.
Whatever anybody says it was one man's word against another's and despite there being loads of witnesses only one person on the pitch heard what Evra heard.
It's not right for someone to be found guilty in those circumstances particularly when the only person who supposedly heard it has changed his mind about what he heard.

Has anybody taken into account the stress and heartache any Liverpool fans hearing the conversation between Evra and Suarez are going through,I bet they've been a wreck for years with no social counselling to get them about through the day.

I agree 100%. Govej that only one person heard that though and that person has already lied about what was said, its unreliable to say the least and particularly unlikely given that Suarez is part black himself.

Only in your Jesuitical mind is an untruth related in good faith a lie (and only now - if it suited you, it wouldn't be one).
When the Church supported the geocentric view of the universe, it wasn't lying (well, not at first - it's arguable after it made geocentrism/heliocentrism a question of authority).
But the Sun didn't go around the Earth, so it was supporting an untruth.

Maybe Evra, who had already lied when saying Suarez had called him a ‘nigger’ was telling the truth when he alone heard Suarez (who is mixed race himself in a Ryan Giggs kind of way), that Suarez didn’t speak to black people (presumably including his own mother).
Or maybe he wasn’t telling the truth. Maybe he was even lying when he said that he had started the whole thing by calling Suarez’ sister a whore (something that Suarez didn’t hear). Saint Patrice, the “sister-cussing” paragon of virtue.
We’ll never know.

Hermit argues that because Evra is a liar, you can't believe that Suarez said he doesn't talk to blacks.
And Hermit's argument that Evra is a liar relies on Hermit knowing what he can't know, which is what Evra thought at the time.
It's a made-up argument that Evra makes things up.

That said the idea that just because you are around foreign speakers on a daily basis doesnt mean you become fluent in their language, i doubt Harry Kane could ask for a beer or where the station is in any language..........maybe even English.
Final point Suarez is one of the biggest cunts to ever breathe let alone kick a football and playing for those northern grief monkeys just compounds it so on that basis i know who i back.
Oh and the fact that saying 'i dont speak to little blacks' regardless of where you're from is racist.

By Evras own judgement he could 'speak Spanish well' and could 'easily converse in Spanish' at the time of the lie.
If calling it fluent is overstating his ability then it is a minor point and doesnt change the fact that Evra was telling a lie.

So, according to Suarez, Hermit's making up his case that Evra is a liar...
I've worked in an office for five with a Greek who often has conversations with other Greeks. Instead catching Greek, and becoming fluent in it, I've just been irritated.

Evra wasn't fluent in Spanish at all.
According to Suarez himself when talking about the incident 5 years ago:
Evra doesn’t speak Spanish very well. He started the argument in Spanish but it was very basic Spanish – as if I was to say in English: “Why you hit me?” It was hard for me to understand what he was saying to me.

The evidence is that he was fluent in Spanish and worked closely with S Americans for years. If you work around S Americans for years you are highly likely to know that phrase. If you work around them and speak the language it is implausible that you wouldn't know that phrase.

So, you've proven that Evra either lied or has improved his knowledge of Spanish, and assumed the former with no evidence.
I can guess what the tie-breaker for you is, but it doesn't work for me.
Maybe you can answer properly this time, without pretending* you know what Evra knew.
